The Ideal Solution to Detect Intrusion
Series CM magnetic contacts are available in a wide range of sizes and types, and are designed to play an important part in all types of security system, safeguarding doors and windows from unauthorised opening.
They utilise a reed switch and permanent magnet which when closed, maintains a connection and establishes a constant magnetic field. Any attempted intrusion that breaks this connection disturbs the magnetic field, triggering an immediate response.
Magnetic Protection
Series CM magnetic contacts equipped with PM (Magnetic Protection) prevent the disarming of the alarm using an external magnet. The magnetic contact sends an alarm signal to the control panel only when the system is active.
Series CM magnetic contacts equipped with PM24 feature an anti-sabotage magnetic protection system that operates 24/7, even when the system is not active.
Security Grades
Series CM magnetic contacts are available in three security grades according to the EN 50131-2-6 standard
Security Grade 2
Medium risk level, sabotage by people with minimal knowledge.
Security Grade 3
Medium risk level, sabotage by people with a high level of knowledge.
Security Grade 4
High risk level, sabotage by persons with specific system knowledge.
Features
Active Security
Series CM magnetic contacts equipped with Active Security monitor the power source continuously and analyze the distance between reed and magnet. This advanced system uses a slowly calibrated digital communication algorithm, ensuring optimal accuracy, and is capable of detecting any change that may suggest unauthorised tampering.
IMQ Certified
EN50131-2-6 Certification
All of our magnetic contacts are certified by IMQ according to the European standard EN50131-2-6, adding for the Belgian market additional tests with the standard T031: 2014.
Security Classes
Series CM magnetic contacts are available in two security classes
Class II
Environmental operation class for industrial and indoor environments in general. Temperature range from -10ºC to 40ºC with an average relative humidity of 75% without condensation.
Class IV
Environmental operation class for outdoors exposed completely and permanently to the elements. Temperature range between -25ºC and 60ºC with average relative humidity of 75% without condensation.
